Information on Requirements, Duration, Costs, and the Process for Divorce & Child Custody

Requirements for Divorce :

  1. Plaintiff's National Identity Card (KTP)

  2. Family Card (Kartu Keluarga)

  3. Marriage Certificate / Marriage Book

  4. Child's Birth Certificate (If Any)

  5. Two Witnesses (To be presented during the witness hearing session)

Initial Process at CMP Law Firm Office

  1. Visit the CMPP Office for a consultation.

  2. Submission of required files and documents.

  3. Signing of the Power of Attorney and Legal Agreement.

  4. Drafting and reviewing the lawsuit.

  5. Filing the lawsuit at the court.

Duration of the Divorce Process :

  1. Mutual Agreement (Sepakat): 3 - 4 Months

  2. Contested / No Agreement (Tidak Sepakat): 4 - 5 Months

  3. Defendant's Whereabouts Unknown: 6 Months

  4. Defendant Residing Abroad: 6 - 8 Months

  5. This estimation excludes the printing of the copy of the court ruling (takes approximately 1 Month).

  1. Court Summons / Notification

  2. Mediation

  3. Answer / Response (If the Defendant attends)

  4. Witnesses

  5. Evidence

  6. Conclusion & Court Ruling / Verdict
